HI . Love the pix I feel a little bit jellous , we camped up there about two weeks before you and there was hardly any water at all
the potholes were dry and the falls below them were just a dribble .But at the bottom of those falls you can see a cave , we were climbing around down there and found another cave that went in under the clif about 15 meters and was full of tiny bats.
Our experience was a dryer one than yours ,but we loved it just the same. Keep up the good work .

Good on you for knowing so much stuff about the Coast, I love exploring places as well. Have you ever done any mountain climbing? Mt Hedlow out near Lake Mary is a great climb with a fantastic view.

I’ve been a little way up the other double head, but have never had time to go all the way. Want to do that sometime.

I’d also love to find the rest of the Kanaka trail, have you found more of it?

How do I change my title

There probably are not many obscure walking tracks on the Coast I have not been on. My Dad is very big on nature and local history (not just locally either).

Have you been up the Double Head that does not have a clear path. Be careful, it is dangerous (and possibly not quite legal), but there are some nice views up there too.

I’m very impressed that you have been on the Kanaka trails above Yeppoon. Most of my friends don’t even know they existed.

Turtle point, and this view, is one of my favourites. Anything around Ferns’ Hideaway is also very great.

Yeah Kemp Beach Mountain probably isn’t the right name for it. I’ve seen turtles quite a lot from the platform they’re, especially when its a really calm day. Have never seen dolphins though.

I love those rock formations on the first lookout on the Double Head, also have you gone down to the hidden little beach in between the two heads? Its a bit of a steep track but its really pretty.

I think you’ll find its not called “Kemp beach Mountain”

I think it it is Turtle Head or some such. You can occasionally see Turtles from one of the viewing platforms further down that track. (You also might be lucky to see dolphins)

I know the one on the other side of Kemp Beach (seen next to the Harbour) is Rosslyn Bay Double Heads.

So sad to hear that

I had such machine revolution (problem) earlier this year when my PC resulted a hard disk crash. It took me several days to seek a recovery disk and to buy a new hard disk, I didn’t buy a new computer, though.

Hope your next computer will be even better…
